Four Signs You Need to Liven Up Your Space

Let's Get Creative
How your present your workplace says a lot about who your company is – which is why it’s important to pay close attention to the areas where you tend to have visitors. Does it reflect what your business is about? Or is it perhaps lacking?
Here’s a few ways to determine if your workspace needs a refresh:
- People aren’t staying long: If most people merely “pop in” and then immediately leave, this could be an indicator that your store or office space really isn’t appealing. And if no one takes the time to peruse the area, you might be losing out on sales and potential new customers. If that’s the case, then consider adding some wall graphics to create points of visual interest.
- They don’t look around when they visit: Most people are curious about everything. They want to see what your office looks like, or maybe they want to see what types of products you sell. If no one is taking the time to look at the walls or what’s housed inside them, then this is a hint that your place comes off as dull or bland.
- Your space feels cold or sterile: While you certainly don’t want too much clutter, you also don’t want bare white or gray walls either. This gives off a very sanitized feel. Instead, look for artwork that both compliments your brand and livens up the interior. Bright colors that attract the eye often work well for this purpose, but make sure they line up with your brand standards.
- No one compliments your artwork or office space: We all like compliments, especially in spaces where we’ve put some effort. But if no one gives you props on how your office or retail space looks, that’s a sign that most people don’t find it appealing. So, take some time to invest in quality artwork, signs or banners. Try incorporating branding into your artwork to make it stand out.
